Hospice is about life and living life to its fullest each day. Hospice is not meant to postpone death, but rather to affirm one’s life. It’s palliative rather than curative, and is designed to treat the person and not the disease. It emphasizes dignity, and enhances the quality of the remainder of a person’s life.
Hospice is a comprehensive, medically directed, team-orientated program that accentuates pain control, and symptom management for residents who no longer respond to aggressive medical care. Hospice services address the physical, psychological, social and spiritual needs of the resident, as well as their family.
Chosen Valley Care Center partners with area Hospice providers to help meet this special need.
